Gello Boy lives in Refridgia, a colorful land shaped by sweets, desserts, and culinary wonders. From gelatin villages and creamy regions to frozen lands and candy-filled paths, every corner of this world has its own identity, people, and traditions. But beneath the playful surface is something deeper. Refridgia is a world about finding where you belong, meeting others who are different from you, growing through curiosity instead of fear, and discovering that kindness is a strength. It’s lighthearted, but it has weight. Simple, but never shallow.
Meet Gello Boy
Gello Boy is a blue gelatin lifeform with a big heart and an open mind. He’s welcoming, curious, and always willing to help, not because he has to, but because that’s who he is. He doesn’t have all the answers. He learns by exploring. By listening. By connecting.
Through his journey, and the friends he meets along the way, Gello Boy reminds us that growth doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from being open.
Gello Boy’s Evolution
2010
At 14 years old, in the middle of a normal day, I drifted into a deep sleep and that was the first time I met Gello Boy. He came with an entire episode and story line and he’s never left me since. During the years, he’s been like a side kick, always speaking to me about the world that he lived in and the characters that encompassed it.
2017
When it was time to leave home and set out on the path to adulthood, I was excited to set out on a new adventure. My life was put on hold during COVID 19 an I lost faith in life, my abilities and was very discouraged. I basically sat on my gifts and barely touched Gello Boy. I put it down and basically left a part of me dwindling in the wind.
2024
In 2023, I moved from Connecticut to California and decided to pick up the pieces of my life. Included in those pieces was Gello boy and his story. With the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, I was able to conceptualize Gello Boy in a way that my drawing/animation skills didn’t allow me to. Using Canva and Runway, I was able to generate this version of Gello Boy, the world and other characters. I’m most proud of what I’ve accomplished so far and can’t wait to see how it all evolves in the future.
2026
When I decided to do my first story book, I decided to lean on Chat GPT to help me write the story line. I was pleasantly surprised when it spit out images of Gello Boy. I was not expected to go this direction with the art style, but something about it makes me feel warm and welcomed. so far, this is the current version of him.
